After the ping-ping pong with the House of Lords, Suella's Bill of Shame gort Royal Ascent today, adding a veil of hubris over these isles, that will be very difficult to take off. UK is now a country where people cannot seek refuge. That's it. Cheap politicking that probably won't work but the rotten Tories don't care! I am deeply ashamed to be a citizen of a country that allows this to happen!
I am convinced most British people find Suella Braverman totally abhorrent but the way things run here means that governments always get away with anything they fancy doing because the population is compliant and non revolutionary. They know this and use it to their advantage... I am not sure if younger generations will subscribe to this model, however. we shall see.
The message is simple: if you are White and are fighting a war against a super power on our behalf and which we don't dare fight ourselves, we will let you in, if you are from a country we have colonised, plundered and destabilised for decades, the answer is no.
This is basically what Britain is today! I can think of plenty of people who are turning in their graves.
