Is thisfinally the last Tory tango of shame?
You’d think so. The Tories having been pushed at the back of every global queue and against every wall, see, to be dancing their last dance as they disappear into oblivion. You’d think… but this is Britain, thinking has been turned off for at least ten years. After twelve years of disaster after disaster, the people have become desensitised to a criminal record of governing. The desire to make Britain a great success and the envy of the world has mythical proportions; it has clouded people’s minds and eyes. It’s both bizarre and very worrying as we enter the next chapter of uncertainty… with the press as it is in UK, the narrative of national fanaticism is likely to carry on regardless. It is bunkers but it is what it is, as the average Brit would say. Have a cup of tea and get over it,
There is a chance that the tide will turn… the disappointment, fighting, shouting, blaming, culture wars, poverty. Inequality, hopelessness may all come together to completely obliterate this nasty bunch of shapeshifters from the nations memory. I truly hope so.
Can Keir Starmer’s Labour lead the wave alone? I have my doubts. Labour’s infighting and the inability to say what it is about is just as guilty as the Tories are for the disastrous situation we find ourselves in.
On verra….
