Having arranged the meanest programme in Europe to help Ukrainians, by leaving it to people open their doors, they have made it so complicated to get the stupid visa that people are simply giving up. To add to the injury and shame, the handful of visas granted contain pictures of Priti Patel and Michael Gove!!! This kind of circus makes us all ashamed to be British.
As usual, this is a typical British way of having the cake and eating it. Propagandawise, it ticked the box of doing something when, in fact, the whole charade was designed to make it too difficult to get here… despite the fact that this country needs drivers, doctors, care workers, nurses, fruit pickers, etc. The fear of foreigners takes priority in the calculations the Tories make. There is no decency, truth of conviction. There is even talk that they know a typical Tory voter does not care much about refugees. It’s is so depressing,
My departure cannot come soon enough, I shall not wish to ever tread on this land if it carries on like this.
