kutaisi day three

I am really worried I will totally fall in love with Georgia and will really miss it during the rest of the journey!

After a very pleasant evening with James, a  neuroscientist from Brighton, last night, I spent the morning trying to find a way to go to Martvili but didn't have much luck probably because I didn't try hard enough! Instead, I pottered around the town which has such a similar vibe with Pejë, it's weird! I am even finding corresponding neighbourhoods such as: Zatrat, Asllan Çeshme and Gjimnazi i Pejës!

If I am totally honest, the reason I didn't try too hard to get to Martvili is because I wanted to go the Motsameta Monastery, which is about 7 km from the town centre but what they don't tell you is that is it uphill all the way! Not knowing that, I decided to walk... and it felt like it was 20 km but it was so worth it!

The place felt very special! It is difficult to describe!!!

Going back to last night, the funny thing is that I met James only because it started to rain and In was at a table that had an umbrella while he didn't! Naturally, I offered to share the table with him and we were chatting and drinking for the best part of six hourt! A totally adorable guy with an excellent mind and soul! Thank you rain.

Booked my place in Tbilisi for seven days! Truly excited!
