It is not often that you see a government that is found guilty by Supreme Court but here we are. Anything goes. This government will break as many rules and laws as they want! This new ‘tradition’ is both baffling and depressing. The populace is used to it and becoming apathetic; more than it usually is… the common reaction is ‘it’s Boris’ as if to say we can’t expect him to be decent or serious. He is a c,Lown, Move on. The standards are rock bottom, which is very dangerous for democracy itself because people simply get disillusioned and often disgusted with politicians’ behaviour. A perfect playing field for a populist fascist to come and promise ‘the people ‘ to clean it t all up! We are not there yet but it’s all going in the wrong direction. Hopefully the good old English tradition to reject extreme ideologies will save the day but I wouldn’t bet on it.
In the middle of all this, a Tory MP is accused of watching porn in the House of Commons and that’s that. Andrea Leadsom says it’s pathetic but fails to give a denunciation of this behaviour that is called for.
The fact that the Tories are sleazy law breakers is no surprise so this kind of charade is to be expected (to a degree) but I think their desperation is starting to bite them as Brexit Fantasy seems to have come to a dead end. They are fully aware that only a deranged clown can still just about carry its message with arm flapping and hair tussling. He goes, Brexit dies. Simple. The Jacob Rees Moggs of this world are dreading this and will put up with any shenanigans to save their rotten project.
