psychological prison

Day six in Zagreb and the surrounding counties. I feel peaceful, less aggressive, hopeful, cheerful, bit wistful, a bit worried. I love going out walking aimlessly. I love saying Bok and Hvala to people… I know one thing - I need do get away from the rotting corpse of an imperialistic vulture. I feel like Joseph Conrad, a bit. Should I write the sequel to the Heart of Darkness played out in Whitehall and Thanet? I think I should.

The problem in the UK is a system that is best described as a psychological prison. The local populace has been in this prison since 1066, when a foreign force invaded and implanted a ruling class over the locals. They built mighty castles, counted the sheep, oxen, pigs and people and put a yoke on them. Ever since, the English have accepted a type of serfdom that continues to this day. They know there is a ruling class and there is them. The world is unfair but that’s tough. Suck it up and watch Gogglebox. The Tories will do everything to preserve this order. The populace votes for them. It’s truly fucked.

If you really want to know what is going on, listen to James O’Brien on LBC London daily from 10am to 1pm. It is not comfortable listening but the truth is often very unpleasant.
