Have we entered an era when wisdom as we know it counts for nothing, giving space to constant emotional drama and upheaval fuelled by relentless stream of unsubstantiated claims and beliefs, meant to affect our feelings rather than our intellect? The United States are the best example of a rapid economic, moral and cultural decline followed closely by the rest so called west, which is also in decline enveloped in mass confusion and fear about its place in a world which it can no longer dominate.
Our politicians and media do what they always do - pick on minorities, immigrants, LGBTQ+ and other groups to deflect the populace from the real questions they should be asking. Fascism always rises during times of crisis and decline because people are too easy to deceive with false narratives that deepen their fears and insecurities!
I am afraid it is only going to get worse! This is why smart people are leaving the so called 'civilised west' ... I should too.
