Sir K is the most un-inspiring, truthless, gutless, wooden man in Britain. Today he says UK will not have to choose between USA and EU, in full knowledge that he is talking total nonsense - we all know who will tell him what to do and how to do it!
His desperation to please everyone, even calling on Churchill and Thatcher are such a peculiar British tragic comedy in her most recent history that has become a period of total confusion about what it was, what it is and what it wants to be! I can't bear watching the news since July last year but every now and then, his robotic voice comes through and fills me with despair.
Today, even the Turner Prize was being brought into question, which I thought was very telling! Not that I have ever been a great lover of this yearly performance but it somehow acted a an important marker of art calendar... asking whether there is any point to keep doing it sounds very apocalyptic in a very bizarre sort of way! Why are we asking these kind of questions? What is it all about? De we need art to shape shift into a more patriotic force that will stir the groin rather than the brain, like everything else? Do we need to organise exhibitions of portraits of kings and queens of England, marching into battle? God knows! No one knows really... most questions we seem to ask are totally ;pointless. No one wants to ask or answer any real questions. It really feels like we have become incredibly stupid in the last two decades!
