The whole thing looks like a desperate attempt to cling on to a supposedly glorious past because the future is bleak and the slow decline since the Suez war is taking pace… a section of the populace haven’t done their homework to understand why one family is held at such a privileged position because finding out that they are descendants of a foreign guy who conquered this land almost 1000 years ago, dispossessing the English of lands and property by giving i5 to his imported friends as barons…
It is becoming obvious that they are totally irrelevant and only exist to provide stories for the tabloids.
