Are we getting bogged down with pointless debates that most people couldn’t care less an out, such as pronouns used for God and gay marriage in church!
While totally supporting LGBTQ+ people for complete equality, the Church is a bit of a different beast. Just like political parties have manifestos, churches have scriptures that are not possible to rewrite, I think.. If you rewrite it, it usually becomes a new religion. Who needs more religion… the main thing here to fight discrimination in every day life churches are usually empty as most people don’t practice religion …
However, the Church of England started on ver6 shaky doctrinal grounds, resulting in two chopped heads and not heir the throne of KH8!, so the bishops have a very weak argument if they say they need fo follow Christian doctrine.. i am sure Anne Boleyn would have a word or two to say on the subject
Let’s concentrate on pressing matters: housing, NHS, pothole
